Paper Talk: Classy Bundesliga midfielder opens up on future amid Liverpool links; Arsenal chase Ivorian midfielder

A major Liverpool target has discussed his future amid talk he could move to Anfield this summer, three top clubs are chasing David De Gea, while Monday’s transfer gossip claims Arsenal want an Ivorian midfielder.

NEUHAUS DISCUSSES FUTURE AMID LIVERPOOL LINKS

Florian Neuhaus – the man tipped to replace Georginho Wijnaldum at Liverpool – has discussed his future amid links to the Merseysiders.

The 23-year-old midfielder has emerged as a prime target for Jurgen Klopp this summer. Wijnaldum. who has been a vital cog in Liverpool’s success, now has just four months left on his deal and appears certain to leave.

Replacing the Dutchman will not come cheap. Kicker claims the Borussia Monchengladbach man has a €40m asking price on his head. The Reds will also face competition for the player from Borussia Dortmund.

Having recently been capped for Germany and have the qualities to succeed in the Premier League, it’s easy to see why Klopp is keen.

Now the midfielder has addressed his future and appears to have left the door open on a possible move.

“I have a contract until 2024 and I have very big goals for this season,” Neuhaus told Kicker. “That’s what I’m concentrating on now. [Transfer talk] is really not a big issue for me now.

“I play at Borussia, I have a contract, and we as a club are still pursuing very big goals this season. I can’t say what will happen in the summer at the moment.

“I’m also very relaxed about the future. Borussia is a club where I was able to develop excellently and where everything is there. I know what I have with Borussia.”
