Liverpool are interested in signing Nicolo Barella from Inter Milan in the summer of 2021, according to InterLive. It has been reported that the defending Premier League champions are ready to pay €65 million (£56.12 million) as transfer fee for the 24-year-old, but the Italian giants are not looking to sell him.
Barella is one of the better midfielders in Serie A and has established himself as an important player for Inter. According to WhoScored, the Italy international has made 21 starts and three substitute appearances in Serie A so far this season, scoring three goals and providing five assists in the process. The 24-year-old has also provided one assist in six Champions League games for the Nerazzurri, according to WhoScored.
Inter are at the top of the Serie A table at the moment with 56 points from 24 matches, four points clear of second-placed and city rivals AC Milan. Meanwhile, Liverpool currently find themselves sixth in the Premier League table with 43 points from 26 matches, just two points behind fourth-placed West Ham United.
