Arsenal are interested in signing Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2021, according to The London Evening Standard. It has been reported that the Gunners are among a number of clubs who are monitoring the 21-year-old central defender, who could be sold this summer.
Konate is one of the best young defenders in Europe and is a rising star in the Bundesliga. According to WhoScored, the 21-year-old centre-back has made four starts and four substitute appearances in the Bundesliga for Leipzig so far this season, scoring one goal in the process. The youngster has also made five starts and one substitute appearance in the Champions League this campaign, according to WhoScored.
Leipzig are doing well in the Bundesliga at the moment and are among the sides aiming to win the title. Julian Nagelsmann’s side are currently second in the league with 50 points from 23 matches, two points behind leaders Bayern Munich.
